The February Allure Beauty Box Includes a Giorgio Armani Lipstick Duo
I’m a true believer that the right lipstick can totally change your look. I could be completely bare-faced, but adding a few swipes of red makes me look instantly done-up. Right now, my go-to power lip is the Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Matte in 400. I find myself reaching for this tube at least once a week — before a big meeting or going out for drinks with friends. While some matte lipsticks can feel super dry, this formula has a silky finish that’s comfortable to wear. The crimson color is the same one you’ll find in all of Giorgio Armani’s packaging. Rumor has it that Armani thought it was the perfect red, not too blue or orange. I have to agree. The shade is damn-near universal (something I wouldn’t usually claim but my coworker with fair skin also tested it out and looks amazing).
You can get a miniature of my favorite red lipstick in the February Allure Beauty Box when you sign up to be a new member. You’ll also get a sample of the Giorgio Armani’s best-selling Lip Maestro Liquid Lip Color in Cedar as part of the New Member Gift duo.
Unlike some liquid formulas that are too watery, Lip Maestro has a creamy consistency that’s more like lip balm. The color is a medium brown with rosy undertones, not nude but a rich terra cotta. I like to do a light wash for a blurred, flushed effect. However, my coworker layered the shade on for a more opaque finish.
In addition to these two miniatures for new members, each February Beauty Box includes a full-size Appeal lipstick, a NYX makeup brush, and a moisturizing Honey Jarret sheet mask. There’s also samples of the BareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum, Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Face Moisturizer, and Wander Beauty’s brand-new Wanderess Glow Highlighter. All together the value totals to $97, but you can get it all for just $15 when you subscribe at beautybox.allure.com.
